There are more price trackers covering Australia than there were two years ago, and they are not interchangeable. Most comparisons of them are written by one of the trackers, which is also true of this one — Slasher is ours. So this page starts with the cases where something else is the better answer, and you can weigh the rest accordingly.

CamelCamelCamel has run an Amazon price tracker for well over a decade and has the Australian storefront covered at au.camelcamelcamel.com. The history goes back further than anything newer can claim, the browser extension puts a chart on the Amazon listing itself, and it is free. If your question is “is this Amazon price good”, this is the answer. It tracks nothing outside Amazon.
If you want the widest possible net: BuyWisely
BuyWisely indexes a very large number of Australian retailers — it publicly claims millions of products across tens of thousands of stores — and shows a price history chart alongside a comparison across sellers. If the thing you are looking for is obscure, BuyWisely is the most likely to have it. The trade-off is the one that comes with that scale: duplicate listings for the same item are common, because matching products across thousands of stores automatically is genuinely hard.

Whisprice takes a URL from an Australian store and watches that exact page. That is the right shape when you have already decided what you want and where from, and it does not require the store to be one somebody indexed in advance.
If you are tracking groceries: Grocerize
Coles and Woolworths pricing is its own problem — thousands of small, frequently changing items where a general tracker's minimum price threshold excludes almost everything. Grocerize is built for it. Slasher is not: anything under $50 is deliberately out of scope here.

Do price trackers actually work on sale prices?
The good ones record the price at intervals and keep the series, so a “was $899, now $599” claim can be checked against what the item actually cost last month. A tracker that only shows today's price cannot tell you that, and neither can the retailer.
Are Australian price trackers free?
